At Gregorys, our mission is to see coffee differently and share that vision with our customers. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Karongi, Gishyita, a vibrant single origin from the Western Province of Rwanda.
Sourced from the Intango Washing Station in Karongi’s Gishyita sector, this coffee comes from 250 smallholder farmers who cultivate Red Bourbon cherries between 1,563–2,000 meters above sea level. The combination of high elevation and rich volcanic soil creates the perfect environment for this heirloom varietal to shine.
This coffee also carries a special story: it represents our Head of Coffee, Jake Leonti’s very first direct trade relationship, established back in 2013 with Gilbert Gitali. More than a decade of friendship and shared passion for coffee has resulted in a truly remarkable release. With meticulous hand-picking, sorting, and washing, every step of the process honors the purity of flavor in the cup.
